Driveshafts Centre put my family in an accident

Cars & Transport

On wednesday 3/7/2013 I dropped off my bakkie at The Driveshafts centre in Paarden Eiland to get my front left cv joint fixed, it was making a noise when engaged in 4x4, i was quoted R1300. I got a call later in the day from Arnold the manager saying i need to do both left and right front driveshafts at R5791, 20, I agreeded, The car was only ready at 16h30 on the thursday. When i picked up my bakkie the battery was flat, they had to push the bakkie off the high lift and then jump start my car. I then drove up and down in 4x4, there was no noise from cv joint, I was happy
and drove home. On Friday I fetched my step farther and 3 teenagers that are family friends who's house we would be staying at in Pearly Beach for the weekend. My front left wheel came off while i as driving, I believe this id due to negligence from Drive shaft centre not tightening the nuts on my front wheels when replacing them on the car. After the accident a police man and a tow truck driver came to help, they both witnessed me going to the front right wheel that was still on the car, i went to check if the nuts there were also on loose, they both saw i had to tighten, The damage to my bakkie is over R11 000.
