Ford
Ake pads

Cars & Transport

I bought a new ford ranger 3.2 diesel double cab in October 2012. My Bakkie went in for a 15k km service where the branch told me that my front break pads were finished and had to fit new break pads at a cost of R2500 (more or less the cost) at my cost. I was very unhappy about this and asked them to please find a solution as to why my break pads are wearing so quickly. they eventually told me that apart from the front discs being whopped (bend or something), that there is no fault to the breaks on the bakkie. I wanted them to replace the pads on their cost. they then told me that this not gonna happen. I then took this matter up with ford motor company customer care. they eventually after many emails told me that they would have assisted if I had 15k km on the odometer. I had something like 15284km on the odometer because ford couldn't book the bakkie in earlier. I have just spoken to the manager (Vernon) at ford motor company and he told me that they will not take responsibility for this. I then told him that I wanna speak to somebody higher up to explain this matter to them. Vernon told me that they will not assist me any further.
