We went to Parrots yesterday for breakfast. We ordered breakfast and my wife asked if she could please swop a frankfurter for a cheese griller, we told the waiter that we had no problem paying in the difference when he said the cheese griller was more expensive. When the bill came we noted that we had been charged the full breakfast price as well as an additional R 14.00 for the cheese griller. We called the manager who promptly advised us that we should read the menu properly because it clearly states "no sharing, no variations, no take-aways" I said to the manager that I came there for a relaxing breakfast no to peruse a menu in the same way one would a legal contract. We agreed to pay the full price but then said should we not be entitled to the frankfurter which we had then in actual fact paid for, he then said "no take aways" which we found strange as we had a pizza take away on the table. What upset us most was not the "terms and conditions" on the menu, normally we would have paid without blinking an eye, it was the fact that the manager was so rude and defensive, what a shame we won't go back as we used to love going there.
