Bad treatment from bounce

I'm from Johannesburg and was excited to try out a new place on Long Street - Beerhouse - only to be met by the rudest bouncer I've ever come across. Not sure why a restaurant such as that requires a bouncer however, as a group of young black people, we were stopped at the door and a white couple behind us was let through. There was no apology from the bouncer and suffice to say, I will not be returning to that place. There are many more establishments on the street which have great service (including Neighbourhood) and this is where I'd rather spend my money. Service at the door is integral to any business's success and that interaction has defined Beerhouse for me. I understand the need for bouncers but there is never any need for treating customers that way.
