Slow lunch service at Bardelli's Kloof Street

We've been to Bardelli's Kloof Street a few times for their lunch menu, and they have always been quick and super friendly. Today was substandard.

Our waiter was slow and unenthusiastic, our simple drinks took 15 minutes, we told our waiter we had to be back within an hour but that didn't speed anything up. There were 3 tables in the entire restaurant, yet our 2 pizzas and 1 pasta took half an hour to arrive. Another 2 businessmen nearby were also complaining why it was taking so long. The door was also slamming all the time when he didn't close it properly. Not the usual pleasant atmosphere.

Their food is tasty, but we didn't get to enjoy much of it seeing that we had to leave within 5 minutes of receiving our food. Also we didn't get the usual garlic, parmesan and chilli dressings and when asked were told they only do that during the evening service. He offered some with my leftover takeaway, but a tiny sprinkling doesn't really count.

Lunch specials mean an hour to drink, eat and get back to the office so I hope they return to their former glory and speed up a lot!
