I visited Wimpy Eastgate with my family on 28/09/2013 in the hope of enjoying my nephew's 2nd birthday with a nice late lunch at Wimpy. Not so. We sat at least 10 to 15 minutes before we could nudge a waiter to get us somebody to take our order. Our waitress eventually appeared took our orders and vanished. When she did return with our soft drinks we had to request for the poorly presented glasses to be swopped. They literally looked like they had come from before my time, they were full of scratches and extremely dull. They looked dirty. We also ordered 2 tea's, she delivered one and was very nonchalant when we politely suggested we ordered two. All the time she spoke to us in English and took our orders in English. Then suddenly she started speaking an African language and insisted she cannot understand English. She rudely suggested we get somebody to assist us in English. I got up and ushered the manager to our table. Updated him on our experience. He lazily apologised and offered us free order. Is this what Wimpy has been minimized to? I didn't come there for a free meal. Perhaps relook at the way you treat your customers.
