Assistant manager refuses to correct an orde

I went to KFC Gateway on the Cinema Food Court where I placed an order for a Zinger Burger Meal with Loaded Fries and 4 Zinger wings. It was advertised on the screen above the cashier that you can pay an additional R5 to upgrade the reguler fries to loaded fries, this was my expectation and I pointed to the screen when asking for loaded fries.
I paid for and collected my order and upon sitting down realized I had an extra set of regular fries. In a hurry during my lunch hour, I took the 2 sets of fries and my reciept to the counter where the assistant manager was present. I informed him of the error and told him Im in a hurry, please sort this out as I need to eat and leave.
The assistant manager later came to my table and informed me that it was too late as I had already paid for it and theres nothing he could do.
His "give a, sorry for you attitude" I found to be rougish and disturbing. I even asked him seeing that he is the assistant manager, surely he could sort it out, to which he refused. Im sure he has the ability to do so.
This is very poor service as in my opinion mistakes can be made and as Assistant Manager he should have the ability to correct them on the system
