Who watches the children???

I visited Spur in Festival Mall on Sunday afternoon. My 28month old wanted to play in the playroom. There was no childminder on duty eventhough there were kids playing. I asked the waitress if there was one on duty as we would rather leave if they did not have one. They called a lady dressed in an apron (kitchen staff) who positioned herself in the playroom. Not long after that I went to the playroom area to check on my son, only to find the so called childminder standing at the cashdesk. I once again reiterated that if they did not have a childminder I would rather not order our meals. She returned and while we were eating... my son shows up at our table!!! He left the playroom without the childminder noticing!!! What happened to children being the most important customers? Are the days of face painting and balloons and colouring pictures gone? It seems so... as my very disappointed son left spur without a balloon. And where were the managers?? Or do they not work on Sunday eves? This visit was not fun at all and Spur should know that if the child is not happy... nor is the parent! We will not be back soon.
