Ridiculously Overcharged Loan!

I have a garnishee order and the balance reflecting now is -R1300.I call our Finance to deduct the whole amount this month and they advise me to call Bayport to verify the amount, to my surprise the settlement amount is a ridiculous R11 769.57.I honestly thought, it must have been a joke! The principal debt was R15 000 in 2010!!!Can someone please explain why i still owe this amount in 2013? Must you triple the principal debt? Is this regulated or you just thumbsuck your balances? I am very aggrieved because i need to honestly settle this amount and move on with my life. This is just too much. I need your urgent intervention and proper calculation and justification of this amount. I am really trying my best here but i cannot be paying R800 every month for 3 years for a loan of R15 000 no matter how much the interests were. This is daylight. I urgently need your response to pay off this garnishee!!!
