Confused about investment payouts

Hi, a very good day to you

can somebody from Standard bank please explain to me properly how you people work out the interest on your savings accounts - i had a contract save of which i paid R 1000.00 every month for 12 months. can you please tel me how you work this out and what the amount is suppose to be when the investment matures.
