Ok, so a couple of years ago I opened a savings account, which was upgraded to and access account (which till yesterday was still seen as a saving account with a new name.) I have been expecting a payment for two weeks now, but every time the payment gets declined. This morning I was told it is a transactional account (1st call), the all of a sudden it became a current account (2nd call), then it became a current account (3rd call) now with the 4th call it is a transmission account. Funny thing is, ALL OF THEM DECLINE THE PAYMENT and Standardbank cannot for the love of puppies and bunnies tell me why??? Definitely the worst banking experience I have ever had... and to top it off this is effecting my bond application, which I will no longer do with Standardbank.
