I have a personal loan with Absa which I have been paying consistently during its lifetime. Around Nov 2013, I noticed that the account was in advance and read on the statement that I can re-capitalise the amount in advance to reduce the installment. I went to the Hillcrest branch to request this service. They lodged an application form of sorts and told me that it would take 5 working days for this to be resolved and someone will contact me to inform me once it is done. I have not received any feedback on this, instead I keep getting calls that my account in arrears and I don't understand why it is arrears because I have been paying off the account consistently. Furthermore not one person from collections is giving me a single amount that I need to pay on this account. I am confused frustrated now. Please help
