Wrong debit order dates

For two months now Sanlam has debited my account on wrong dates and both months no payment went through. Not only is this bad for my record with them as soon they will be saying my policy has lapsed but I incur bank charges and my profile with my bank is also affected. Should anything happen to my family in this period is Sanlam going to pay? Are they going to refund my bank charges? Or should I just cancel this policy and move to another company?
