On 19/12/13 I went to Capitec Pavilion to open a bank account for my 2 minor children. Arriving at the host desk - a guy asked me what i needed and proceeded to go through the documents I had with me. He told me that they can not accept the letter written by my husband to confirm my residence (certified). I requested to see a manager. She confirmed that due to FICA my husband had to complete a CAPITEC "declaration of residential address". Seeing that I work for a financial institution myself - i know that FICA has nothing to do with a logo! My Husbands letter contained every piece of information they required. So i left the branch and returned the next day with the completed form. Again - the same host checked my documents and suddenly requested the originals of all the documentation I showed him the previous day. Also - my husband made a mistake on the CAPITEC form and initiated the change. AGAIN - another "Manager" at the enquiry desk said that they can not accept the form they need originals. NO ONE informed me of this. He proceeded to tell me that i am more than welcome to lay a complaint on Hellopeter if I'd like. then you wonder why FNB is getting your business! DISGUSTING!
