What am I paying for!

I had to have an emergency cyst drainage that was growing on my ovary. This was discovered by the Gyni that i had to pay for due to them not covering any specialists.

As i have been part of this Essential Med for over a year now, i thought that it would not be a issue. Boy was i wrong. Essential med did not pay a cent... nothing!!! they stated that it was not an emergency and due to me not having to spend the night in Hospital they did not see the reason to cover it.

EXCUSE ME!!! what have i been paying for exactly. We then had to scramble around to find R13000.00 just for the hospital this is not including the doctor or the antithesis.

We begged and pleaded for them to help us in some way, but nothing.

After the opp the doctor informed me that the cyst was so large that is was about to burst.

Now tell me this if the cyst had burst, the opp would of been seen as an emergency and would of been covered by Essential med, Basically you have to be dying for them to want to help you.

I am currently looking for a different Health insurance... One that actually cares.
