Cheque Account?

I have been contacted by several debt collectors claiming to want to collect funds I 'owe' you for a cheque account I was told was closed, this after I had settled the outstanding monies for the credit card I had with you. I have spoken to Dawud (forgot the surname) regarding this matter and he referred me to a young woman Melissa I think, who eventually stopped all communication without so much as an explanation.

I would like to know what is going on what in the world this is about because frankly, I would like to move on with my financial freedom and put all this behind me.
