Emove me from transunion for wrong trace a

I did a credit check on myself this morning and what I have noticed is that I have a trace on my name which is the only default which is standing in my way to buy a car.
I have a view points that is really upsetting me.
According to the Prescription act, this account were suppose to be written of already. I have not paid a single sent on this account, or singed a acknowledgment of debt, I didnt make any arrangements with anyone to pay this debt because no one phoned me or tried to contact me and There is no summons or judgement against me for this debt. Prescription starts from the date when the debt is due. as a big company as yourselves, you are well aware of this. When I mentioned this to the lady at your company, i was told me that you only received tis account on the 27of february 2013.
I am really not happy how this account was dealt with.
