Extortionate rates and binding contracts

I had been a client with Tax Relax for over a year. I paid a monthly fee apprx R263 which was recently reduced to R193 after I tried to get out of my contract. However, it has come to my attention that ideally I should only be paying about R200 per tax submission and NOT a monthly fee especially since I don't have such a complicated tax structure. I tried to cancel my contract and now they are saying that I am legally bound until next year though on the telephone she had told me that I could cancel my contract immediately - in her letter she tells my I now have to give 3 written months notice to cancel and I would STILL need to pay the full amount until my contract expires in May 2014. This seems like pure extortion. Such companies really should be put under a microscope by SARS and the Ombudsman. It's daylight. Is there anyone who can advise on how to overturn this?
