Debiting my account without my authority

My account was debited by Standard bank VAF with an amount of R40 and something without my concern. I had a car that was reposesed by Standard bank due to payments not made and this happened after I lost my Job. I then arranged with them to start making payment as I got hired somewhere but, I sometimes struggled to make payments due to financial dificulties. I therfore resigned at my previous employer and my pension fund paid out and to my surprise I found my account debited with the balance that I was owing them. I feel this is totally agains the law for them to do this without even letting me know at least by mail or telephone as I used to communicate with them telephonically. I had made other arrangement with other institutions that I owe knowing that I was expecting my pension fund to pay out and now I do not know what to tell them as Std Bank decided to pay themselves. I want them to reverse this entry and I will make payments as arranged.
