Discovery card pathetic at cancelling credit card

I have a discovery credit card. On 2013/08/29 I received a call from Jeremy Naidoo. She was very nice and friendly. After a lengthy conversation I finally managed to get the forms to cancel my credit card. I sent it to them that day at approximately 03:35 PM.I was told turnover time is 2 working days. Then on the 4 of September 2013 they took R2000 from my account even though my credit card is completely settled disrupting all my other transactions. I called them and they promised that they would escalate the matter (4 September) and it will be sorted out within 2 working days. Then I transferred the R2000 back into my account and they charged me R4.00.This I could accept. Now they charged me R140 in fees putting my balance back in negative on a card that was supposed to be cancelled. Suddenly I am regretting having this card. Get the card within a day. No questions asked. What they don't tell you is that once you have it you are a member for life. Not at all what I expected from a world leading company like discovery. This is truly dissapointing. Every time I do business with discovery they amaze me with their exellent quality of service. This time I only have a feeling of dissapointment.
