No response to charges of over R20 000!

I am currently traveling through Central America and am currently in Nicaragua.

During my time in Costa Rica from 1st August 2013 to 8th August 2013 I rented a car from Hertz Car Rental agency in San Jose, Costa Rica.

I picked up when checking my account that they, namely Hertz Rent A Car in San Jose, Costa Rica put a transaction of R 20 671.50 under transaction number 74389213222221025620211 as well as a uncleared amount of R 4 165.00 through my above account number.

This is incorrect as the Rental fee was $324 and the deposit $1200. I have spoken to Hertz Car Rental in South Africa and according to them Hertz Car Rental in The Americas are not entitled to deduct any money for damages.

As you will see from my account, they have deducted over R20 000 and that has left me with almost no money whilst stuck in a foreign country. I urge you to please reverse this transaction ASAP as they have taken far more money than they were owed and have left me in dire straits.

I have tried to resolve this issue with the rental agency but have not had any response.

To date the only reply that i have had from ABSA is that they need 30 days to investigate.
