I am currently working in Luanda, my salary gets paid into my bank account directly from the UK, I have had a standing order for this to be done for a while and on the 01st of August I was informed by e-mail that the standing instruction I have currently needs to be replaced by a new one. I duly printed and filled in and scanned the documents back on the 2nd of August after having spoken to Sivenathi to make sure all was in order. This morning I got a text message saying that I need to get hold of Absa to release the money into my account, I phoned and spoke to Yvonne this afternoon to try resolve it and I was told she would take it from there. Upon arrival back at the office I have a mail saying that I need to contact the Incoming Transfer department with no more detail as to whether she has actually done anything.

I know nothing will come of this as it's absa bank and they really don't seem to want to do anything for their clients.
