I just called FNB Homeloans and was told my application was declined on 14 Aug already. I was never informed of this. My reference number in the their initial sms was 3000706083819. They have promised to get back to me within 5 days and it has been way past 5 days now. I am not really bothered that I had to call to get feedback. I need to know why my application was declined. The call centre told me it was due to affordability. Something don't sound right, coz even when I do the affordability check on your website with a 12% interest rate, I qualify for far more than what I applied for. Please give me clarity, so I will know what to fix in future or pick up on any errors before my OTP expires.
