Absa almost caused me to sleep on the streets

Before leaving for a trip to Asia, I made perfectly sure my bank knew when and where I am going so that my card won't be blocked once there. The clear ensured me he will make a note on the system and that I didn't even need to come in. Once in Japan my card was blocked and I had no money!! If it wasn't for the person traveling with me I wouldn't have been able to pay any accommodation or buy food. I spent a lot of money on calling them from Japan, just to be given another number each time I called. No one could or would help me solve their problem! I expected better service from my bank and I was truly in a crisis situation they promised NOT would happen in ANY way! How can it be so difficult for them to set this right and to get in contact with the right person!? They should not expect you to trust them if they don't hold their end of the bargain.
