Loan application

I got an SMS form LFSA on 27/06/2013 saying that my loan application has been cancelled. I got a reference number LF43158. I made enquiries about there services almost 2 years ago, but changed my mind when I saw all the costs and procedures involved. I have not applied for any loan recently, especially not with LFSA. I called their number 021 815 4600 to find out what this SMS was about and to tell them that I have not applied for a loan recently. I also gave the reference number in the SMS. The lady answering the phone asked my name. I gave her my surname only. She asked me for my full names. I refused to give it and said that I already gave her the reference number and that should be enough. I told her I only want to clarify what application they are referring to, because I have not applied for a loan recently. She hung up on me. I'm concerned because this might affect my credit record, which I am desperately trying to improve by not applying for any new loans or credit accounts.
