Standard Bank
Unwarranted auction of property

Business & Finance

Good day I have an arrangement agreement with Standard bank in connection with a Home loan, in default, which was sent to me on 01/07/2013. I received calls yesterday and today from people who saw the property advertised on the Government Gazette and PE Herald newspaper on 12/07/2013 and the auction date is 02/08/2013. I am shocked as there seems to have been a parallel process initiated and happening as the arrangement were in place and not breached, but someone instructed for the property to be auctioned off in the meantime. Today I called 0861498468 and spoke to Lindiwe who said the instalment was due. I said I knew and was about to make a transfer and was afraid and confused when I heard the property was on auction. She advised me to make the transfer while I still was making enquiries, and I agreed. She referred me to Monerah at legal, who said I should talk to Lindiwe then she gave me this number 021 441 4129 and ask for Nkobile who is a legal officer. We called the number and were told to call Lindiwe as they are not dealing with the account. Can you urgently stop the auction, kindly advise a way forward as I want to continue with the agreement as per arrangements?
