Poor treatment of existing customers

I have an existing home loan with STD Bank. I am the principal applicant. I applied for a re-advance on my home loan and it was declined due to my husband not being at his current place of employment for 6 months or more. In the almost 4 years that I have had the home loan I have not once missed or been late on a payment. Surely as I am the principal on the home loan, that should be taken into consideration, even more so considering that my husband was unemployed from Jan13 to May13 and still all payments were on time. The excuse of "Credit Granting Policy" to protect the bank and consumer is given but I can assure you that I am not being protected. I wouldn't have applied for the re-advance if I didn't require it. The feedback/treatment that I have received from STD bank (such as not even bothering to use clients names) indicates that I am just another number in your system and the money that you get from me every month isn't substantial enough to make me of any importance in your system, so I'll rather look at taking my money elsewhere.
