I recently got divorced and applied for a substitution of bond, as well as an access bond. i received a call from the bank informing me that my bond had been approved and that they would give me an extra R217 000 (all this I managed without permission from my EX) i informed them that i did not want to be rebonded and they informed me that they would rectify the situation. at the end of April the bank who always gets paid via my salary decided to take a extra payment from my bank, on requesting the money back i get informed that i need my EX HUSBANDS permission for them to return my money, which by the way they took from my bank account not his. i was informed that this would take 24 hours, so far it has taken three days and no reply from the bank. everyone needs to think very carefully before doing business with Standard Bank, they have not a clue of what the banking business entails. not one person knows how to answer any of your questions. and they logo is HOW CAN WE MOVE U, what a joke
