Where fo these people get our mobile numbers?

I got a massage saying Congratulations!! Your mobile number won R175.000 in 2013 Rica mobile promotion, Ref No: 119NKP and that i must contact Mrs M. Lindiwe to claim my price on 0838864990. So i called out of curiosity and i was told to buy R180.00 airtime and call her back again so she can advice how to activate my claim. I also asked which promotion company is it, she said Rica Mobile!!!
