Groupon SA
Not keeping their side of a legal agreement

Advertising

Hi Guys.

Reveal the deal or not, it was a deal. A sale. A legal agreement that you began.

You don't seem to understand why some people are upset. You think it was because a completely legitimate deal sold out fast.

But it's actually about Groupon not holding up your side of a legal agreement, even if that agreement was made by faulty software on your their behalf.

Advertising an item as being in stock, then me adding that to a shopping cart, and then to start paying for that item, only to have your software tell me that I'm not allowed to. That seems very much against the law. Your faulty software started selling for the same item to more than one buyer. Your faulty software agreed to sell it to more than one buyer. (instead of making sure everyone knew it was out of stock).

What does the consumer protection act have to say about keeping your side of the deal, and not giving stupid errors and withdrawing a sale in progress at the last second???
