I purchased Quality vacation club points with my then wife more than 7 years ago. I was called about a month ago by a Carl John Attorneys claiming to represent QVC and asking me to pay more than 50K in outstanding fees. The contract clearly states my EX-WIFE as the person responsible for payment as well as her banking details and signature's. But they call me after 7 years to claim from me. They then threatened to list me on ITC for a period of 30 years. And also threatened to issue summons out of the Knysner Magistrates Court and take away all of my household contents and sell them to recover the money, yet the contract signed was in Gauteng not Knysner. They also went onto Transunion and did a credit check on me without my permission. All 3 of these acts are illegal according to my attorney as well as research done by myself. I have now gone to the ombudsman and Carl John Attorneys has not responded to any of the e-mails from my attorney to them. QVC has since claimed that they have contacted me for payments (according to their records) and I have not paid. I have requested proof of this and have not received a response. These acts say a lot about both QVC and their Attorneys.
