Shot in the foot

Well let me start by saying this. I'm the kind of person that likes to research everything before purchasing.
So after listening to the presentation, and the salesperson Hansen presented us with the details of the deals, I informed him that we will have to think about if first and do some research before making a decision.
He then informed us that we would need to make a decision right away to obtain the special. Well I then decided to utilise my cellphone to enquire as to the validity of the company.
The first writeup from [URL Removed] caught my eye and I read it out aloud.
Hansen was very gracious and beckoned Anton to our table. Now this is where things just went from bad to worse.
After trying to justify the complaints on hallopeter and not succeeding we where literally ushered out of the door.
I'm just wondering if he wanted to get rid of us before it became contagious
