8ta 3g signal keeps dropping

I have had the 8ta 10gig package since late last year and have never had any problems, but for the last 2 weeks i keep losing signal every 2 minutes even though my signal is strong and the nearest tower is only about 1km away. I never had this problem with my Vodacom connection. Can anyone tell me what is going on all of a sudden?
