Sony Xperia GO

Telecommunications

Hi, after using my Xperia X10 mini pro for 2 years, no problems. Upgraded one week ago, and chose the Xperia GO for its "ruggedness". After arriving home last week from work, I picked up something from my driveway, the GO dropped out of my top shirt pocket and fell flat on its screen. I though nothing wrong as it was at about 500mm height (arms length) - BUT screen completely shattered. It had the screen "protector" on supplied by Sony etc. I just think in view of our consumer protection act in this country, the supplier being Vodacom/Sony should WARN customers about the design of the product. My xperia x10 fell many times over the 2 year period, and not a crack to be seen. I can understand that this is the reason for cellphone insurance etc, but IT SHOULD BE COMMUNICATED BY THE MANUFACTURER OR RESELLER in this regard. I am sure our country regulation provides for this in the consumer act? I realise that there is lots of guys throwing their phones off buildings etc but having a phone 7 days and then finding the manufacturer telling you this is strange, is strange?
