I am currently a Vodacom contract customer.

I was waiting for my contract to expire (June) and was then going to make the switch to Cell C.

I bought a 12 month data sim from Cell C last year and was so impressed with their service that I had bragged about Cell C to friends and family members, even advising them to cancel their current contracts and make the switch to Cell C.

It's only taken one week for me to change my tune.

Last week, I sent Cell C an e-mail requesting information regarding the switch of service provider from Vodacom to their network.
According to an automated response, 48 hours was the maximum waiting time for a response. It's going on for 120 now.

The Cell C data sim that proved to be a lifesaver in terms of speed and reliability, is now slow and often international web pages won't load.

The 'My Account' service on Cell Cs website has been out-of-order for weeks now.

Cell C promised the world and for a short time they delivered, but their delivery has dried up.

If they can't respond timeously to secure a prospective client, how will they treat their contract customers when secured?

I will not be making the switch to Cell C. Neither should you.
