Telkom
Cancellation of account

Telecommunications

Good day
A request was sent to Telkom to cancel a fax line 043 642 1693 acc number: 533751020001 for Mrs. L.C. Thompson on the 10 August 2011 and the line was last used on the 2nd August 2011. The business, Thompson Body Works closed and a request was made to cancel the fax line and change the phone line 043 642 5769 from a business line to a residential line, because the business closed on the premises of 4Hargreaves Avenue the end of August 2011. My request to change my phone lines from business to residential was done on the 10th August 2011 where both request was asked for. So how can it be possible that I be billed for a fax line usage which I requested to cancel and never used since? We have since then been billed up until February 2012 for rental of something which has not been in use since August 2011.
The last payments made are as follows:
16/05/2011 - R 2127.31
24/06/2011- R 874.02
20/07/2011 -R 1302.77
23/08/2011 - R 1854.69
19/10/2011 - R 2419.41
A payment then was made on:
21/12/2011 - R 1527.94.
It would be of much relief if this issue be sorted out ASAP. Yesterday 05/02/2014 i recieved a sms from telkom saying i have an oustanding amount of R2200.00
