NO ONE WILLING TO HELP - FRUSTRATION

I recently took out a contract with Cell C, And besides from all the hiccups with the service I thought I would let them slide until this... My phone got a month ago (the phone I received when I took out the contract with Cell C) I phoned to block the sim card and blacklist the phone and they informed me that I couldn't blacklist the phone, which I then didn't. I then had my Vodacom number ported to the cell c contract, as now I only had one phone and not two and I needed to be reachable! When submitting to my insurance they informed me that I need the black listing number - I contacted the customer care line numerous times and received references number to have the phone black listed, where they then just closed the cases. We then visited the store at the Glen where we were helped by a delightful gentleman named Chris who tried his utmost to assist. He then informed us after speaking to the relevant departments, he couldn't help me due to the fact that I had ported my number and the number that was in the phone (084) when it was couldn't be tracked so the IME number does not correspond to the new Number!!! THAT IS NOT MY PROBLEM!!!
