I was blacklisted without being contacted about it

Recently I found out that my name was on IT for cellphone account with virgin mobile that I cancelled. The account was written off, without my knowledge. However in 2012 I cancelled the contract after requesting virgin Mobile to furnish me with all the relavant amounts owed to them for the process to be possible. The lady I delt with at virgin mobile assured me all relavant monies owed were paid and the account was closed and contract cancelled. So it was great shock for me when I was trying to get financial assist & found out i couldn't because select online, whom the account was handed over too had listed me as a bad payer&account written off. I have not recieved any communication from them before regarding this matter or any warning regarding this matter. I was requested to pay R527 which included legal fees for this company that has mnot even once called me regarding this matter.
