Albany Bakery
Difference in bread prices at differnt stores

Shops, Products, Services

I have been purchasing my Albany low GI bread from Spar Highveld for several months and a few weeks ago noticed that it was priced around R15, 89 per loaf.
This week I was in Midrand and stopped at the PnP in Midway Mews and the price of the bread was R13, 89.
Today 1 March 2013 I purchase again at Spar Highveld & the price is now R14, 69.
When I asked the teller about the high price, she said that I am not the first person to complain and even their store baked bread is priced higher.
Please could someone investigate or if this is correct, make me understand why the prices differ from store to store. Is the price supposed to be standard or does the store have free will to over price on basics?
