Milk expired before expiry date

Last week I bought a 2l 2% Low Fat Clover milk from Pick n Pay in White River.
On the morning of the 9th when we made coffee, the milk was sour - to the point that it was thick and curdled.
I ended up throwing at least half of the bottle away.
The BB was 11 Feb 13 CD / 025 AT1 L30 09:37
