COCA COLA – SHARE A NAME CAMPAIGN EVENT

We saw on the website of Coca-Cola that they have a crew at various venues to print your name on a can.

They would be two times in Pretoria. Firstly at Menlyn and then at TUKS Rag. On the 27 of January my son went to Tuks, but nobody at Tuks knew about the event.
Yesterdag 30 January 2014, I call the customer call center to ask where at TUKS premises the event is taking place. Then Roxann said that they not going to have the event due to the fact that they started off in Pretoria.

Now we would like to know the following:

How can a large company such as Coca-Cola advertising on the website, certain events and then in the quietness they change their minds?

And why did they not ratified the website?
