"Secret" FICA requirements

Very disappointed and disillusioned, once again. Thought I'd give Edgards another chance - but, boy, was I wrong!!
Just wasted around 2 hours trying to buy my boy some clothes. FICA wasn't done, which i s a total surprise, as I've brought a sworn police statement last year March. So I went to ABSA and after 45 minute wait - got my latest statement. Just to find out that Edgars, for some strange reason, doesn't accept ABSA statements, as a proof of residence. WHY ON EARTH NOT?!?!?!? And if there's some valid reason behind it, WHY NOT NOTIFY YOUR POOR CUSTOMERS?!?!
I couldn't purchase anything - as my account got blocked in the process of removing the FICA warning, also one of those competent moments...
At this stage my little ones were starving and exhausted and I really didn't feel like going to Vodacom, MTN or himself to find the proof of my residence.
I absolutely HATE Edgars!! Appalling and incompetent!
