Refusal to refund appliance purchase

I purchased a KFEE machine and did not realise the avearge serving size (with exception of expresso) was well below cup size standard (std cup sise 250ml, kfee serve size average 150ml). Used a few capsules, found I need double number of capsules to make std cup size. This proves too expensive for home use. Returned it within the specified time period, having used 6 capsules, repacked machine perfectly, protective plastic still in situ, and full, sealed boxes of capsules not used as proof of limited use. I would not accept a gift voucher refund or purchase another machine and pay the balance (offer was insinuated, however I cannot afford it). Branch and regional manager will not allow me to be refunded as the item was suddenly deemed unsellable (after not willling to take compromise of buyng another). Maintain it has been "used extensively". I would not have known I was not happy had I not used the capsules and tested strength for different volume settings. I meet every term and condition printed on the receipt, however @home refuses to honour them. They only deemed it "unsellable" after all other options were expended. Machine donated to charity for raffle. Appalling.
