First, some background: I have been supporting the Green Cross brand for >15yrs & have promoted to friends & family alike. I have a cupboard full of their wares, & even my daughters' school shoes are purchased at GX. I purchased a wallet (new addition to the range) /- 3yrs back after my 10yr old Busby wallet containing place for a large cheque book was no longer needed. The GX wallet did not wear well at all as per my Busby experience & I returned this to the store where I purchased same (colour had faded in areas, wallet looked shabby). Customer Service is not prepared to repair, replace or refund this item or even a portion of it as this is deemed 'due to wear and tear'. Wallets are an item used daily by most & therefore expected to wear well which was not the case for this wallet. GX are no longer promoting this item & it has not been on sale for over a year now - why is this? My friend has the identical wallet and is also not satisfied with the wear - coincidence? Loyalty has been rewarded by a slap in the face. For those of you looking for comfortable footwear made in SA with excellent aftersales service, FROGGIE has not disappointed!
