Rock Hard Crisp Dough

Been deciding as to what to have for lunch and decided on fresh cheese rolls. I sent our temp to Save hyper to purchase a few things for the office and cheese rolls. Upon return from the store, I receive my meteorites instead of fresh rolls but it was ok seeing that I thought outing it in the microwave will soften it.
What a huge mistake as it became rubbery and tough. Highly frustrated I contact the manager as to how they sell stale rolls. I spoke to Devan and was told the rolls were made of CRISP DOUGH... I mean really now..I understand crisp and I know whats stale hard Rolls..
I go in to the store to explain to the bakery manger as to what stale rolls are and from baking experience a roll can be crisp but not that hard.
