New Carpet damaged within a week

I bought a carpet 2 October 2013 and within a week the carpet raffled and this shouldnt happen with a new carpet. I bought the item cash and is very unhappy I did report it at the branch The lady at reception said she will tell the manager John but he never phoned me.
