Discrimination on basis of false information

I recently applied for a foschini acc, years after I closed the previous one. Got feedback from the store saying that the acc was declined on the base of me owing Foschini money. Firstly I would like to add that I'm still a RCS acc holder. I have been one for years. Years ago when I ran into financial difficulties, I paid both accounts up in full and decided on keeping RCS. Now Foschini wants to make me understand I never did so. Why on earth will they keep me as a acc holder and keep on offering me increases on my RCS acc if I owed them money? This is blatant ignorance and bad business practises from Foschini's side. I'm disgusted. And after complaining to them about this matter I'm still waiting for their response 2 weeks later. I'm not interested in the acc anymore as I purchase goods in cash from them, I want my name cleared.
