I am a new customer / client and received a bed that I bought from Furniture City in the beginning / middle of September. My account payments are listed as "Debit Orders", however 2x weeks ago I got a sms telling me that my payment was due. I then contacted the African Bank call centre, only to be told its just a reminder and that I can ignore this, the payment will be deducted on the 25th (my salary date). I said ok and went on my merry way. They deducted the money today and now all of the sudden I got a sms telling me "You have not made payment or a payment arrangement. Please contact African Bank urgently". I am SORRY I will not have this. Your system (I don't care if its automated) is making me look like a bad payer and I am quite sure its also keeping history of the sms's sent to me. This is NOT professional and I will not stand for this. How can you send me "reminder" sms's and collections sms's IF I AM ON A DEBIT ORDER?!!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?? Come on now people!!! You better take me off your lists IMMEDIATELY and phone me when this is done. THis is pathetic!!
