Pick 'n Pay
The way Pick ’n Pay handled the case

I went and shop at Pick 'n Pay on the 30th August which I usually do every Friday. I bought the pie special and ate the one in the shop and the one I put in the trolley to pay. When I finish my shopping I went to the till and pay for my groceries and went out of the shop. Nothing happened the moment I set my foot outside the shop, but when I went into the parking lot one of the security guards came to me and ask me that I must come with him to the shop because I did not pay for the pie. I turn around after him and I ask to speak to the manager of the shop. The manager was not on duty and a trainee manager came and assist me. I explain to him what happened outside the shop and he ask me to go with him to the office. He ask the security guard what happened and he explain to him what happened, and he then ask me. Then he told me that the security company belong to a private company and there's nothing that they can do about it. The reason why I am so disappointed in Pick 'n Pay is because of the way they handled the situation and the fact that the manager took my contact details but didn't even bother to contact me. The security company also didn't contact me in connection with the incident.
