Misleading packaging - no choice for custome

A few months ago we bought a few pots from Boardmans. Quite expensive, as we wanted quality. Great packaging and seemingly coming from Germany. But we did notice that the pots change color when washed etc, which our 40 year old stainless steel set does not do under the same circumstances (heating on stove etc). We went back for a larger pot, and to our chock, after studying the boxes thoroughly, found it to be "made in Chine". We searched further and found that there is NO PRODUCT that was not "made in china". And china is known for bad quality materials and toxic products. Does the customer not even have a choice in this matter???
